The Dreadnought “Flight Of The Phoenix” project was run for the first time in Liskeard School this year. The project focuses on arson through role play. The project has been a real success on a number of levels. Firstly the students totally bought in to the role play exercise and really were immersed in all aspects of the programme this has made the learning and understanding of the seriousness of the crime all the more easier. The activities were really well planned and resourced, this led to a lesson that had pace, content and a reality that students could easily grasp. All members of the team were professional, highly focussed and organised. They adapted well to the unique set up of our school day and were flexible enough to accommodate our needs. I would definitely recommend this service and look forward to working with them in the future. - Teacher, Liskeard School
Phoenix Courtroom Drama -" A really interesting way to help students understand the severity of this type of crime" - Teacher, School
Very much appreciate your on going support and the work you do with our students. - Teacher, Camborne Science & Community College
A young person said at his school review he was enjoying his Dreadnought sessions. He was very positive about (not just a grunt!) and his mum says he's a bit more relaxed since he started. Thank you. - Social Worker, Community Support Team
The sessions have been significant in helping the girls through these last few months.- Social Worker, Children Schools & Families
I would just like to thank you and the team at Dreadnought for taking the time to show myself and my colleques around. We were both amazed with the amount of children that you manage to support and the variety of different ways you can help individual children with their individual needs. I can already see the positive benifits that the Dreadnought Centre is having on this young person after only three sessions, which is a credit to you and all the team. Thanks again for showing us around, we have both been very inspired.- Tregolls School
Parents
A huge "Thank You" for supporting my daughter through a very difficult and challenging time in her life. When she was referred to you, our relationship was at rock bottom, we barley spoke and I could see no way forward and feared the worst for her. Her attitudes to life have changed completely, her anger has gone, she is doing well in school and we now have a better relationship than ever. I am hopeful that even though her time with you is over, she will remain positive and happy. Thank you again.
Thanks for making time for closure with my daughter. She told me that she enjoyed working with you and is sad that your time together has ended. I'm glad it was such a positive experience for her. Thank You.
I feel that Dreadnought has helped our son so much we are hoping it will do the same for our daughter.
It has been great seeing him so happy to attend the Aspires group where he likes the staff and what they do.
We are delighted our son is very happy, what more could we ask.
He is really enjoying going to Aspires, it's something he looks forward to each week. He likes that it's only a small group, with lots of workers (that are nice) to talk to. Thank you for all the help that you give.
